Do you appreciate quality vintage rugs? If so, then you will love this rug!
This beautifully handcrafted Anatolian Kilim is estimated to have been made around 60-70 years ago. The rug originated from Mount Ararat, the Asia minor region and represents an essential part of the regional culture, which is officially understood as the Culture of Turkey. Geographically, its area of production can be compared to the territories which were historically dominated by the Ottoman Empire.
This Kilim Rug is made from 100% sheep's wool. This rug is hand-loomed and created using handspun and naturally dyed wool. The rug is represented in subdued colours of pink, mint, mandarine and chocolate. The proportions of the rug are unique as well. With its geometric diamond pattern and a beautiful colour palette on the pastel side, it would be gorgeous in an entry hall or living room area. Even under a dining table.
Anatolian rugs often convey a story told by the maker through the creation of design and symbols influenced by their region and culture. This one of a kind rug will stand out in your home and will be a piece your family will cherish for a long time.
